Five Buffalo Bills to watch this Sunday agains

t the Houston Texans The Buffalo Bills travel this week to face off against another 2-3 team in the Houston Texans. The Texans are coming off a two-game win streak against uninspiring competition—the Indianapolis Colts and the Dallas Cowboys. Through their first six games of the year Jim Kelly Jerseys Stitched , this one on paper seems like the most winnable. Here are five players we’ll be watching to make an impact on Sunday’s game:QB Josh AllenOver the past two weeks, Allen hasn't been able to put together his game through the air. The Texans have a good set of pass rushers in J.J. Watt and Jadeveon Clowney, and a decent secondary to back it up with Tyrann Mathieu leading the way. This is a tough task for Allen to tackle and he's going to need help from his playmakers, but it all starts with him. Throughout the beginning of the season, the offense hasn't been able to push the ball downfield and create big plays. Offensive coordinator Brian Daboll needs to utilize a trick or two he has up his sleeve to get the offense going. WR Robert FosterThis Bills receiving corps is disheartening. Foster has the best straight-line speed of the group. He hasn’t been able to connect with Allen for a big play yet, but the one guy who can stretch the field is Foster. He’s had his own struggles with dropping catchable passes Youth O. J. Simpson Jerseys , including a couple of deep shots from Allen. It’s time for the two to establish a reliable connection on the long ball. CB Tre’Davious White In his second year, Tre’Davious White has quietly become a top-tier corner in the NFL. This week he will follow DeAndre Hopkins, who is easily a top-five wide receiver in the league. Their match-up will be one of the highlights of the game. Hopkins has a plethora of big-play ability, especially winning contested jump balls—something to watch closely on Sunday. LB Matt MilanoLast week against the Tennessee Titans, Milano had one of his best games in his career thus far. He’s a good tackler and the Texans are getting Lamar Miller back, their starting running back. On top of that O. J. Simpson Jerseys Stitched , Deshaun Watson’s athletic ability can create problems for defenses, so Milano and Tremaine Edmunds could be spying the quarterback more than usual in this game. DT Jordan PhillipsAfter being signed by the Bills just a little over a week ago, Phillips already has Bills fans turning their head. Phillips is a big, strong and freakishly athletic guy for his size. He was able to get a lot of penetration against the Titans and blow up a few run plays from the snap. Phillips is another guy who can rotate in on the defensive front and make impact plays in a limited amount of snaps, keeping all four big guys up front fresh. Brown?EDTShareTweetShareShareScouting Report: wide receiver A.J. Brown a potential target for Buffalo Bills in 2019 NFL DraftYou might have heard that the 2019 NFL Draft is coming up and that the Buffalo Bills might get to pick a player or two. This offseason has been shaping up mostly offense as the Bills look to support the quarterback of the future Youth Thurman Thomas Jerseys , Josh Allen. Long-term weapons to pair with Allen could be in the works and that could include former Ole Miss Rebels wide receiver A.J. Brown. A.J. Brown declared for the draft after his junior year at Mississippi and a solid three years of production. In his sophomore year he set a school record for receiving yards in a single game with 233. He also set another school record for most yards in a season with 1,252. The following year he broke his own record with 1,320 yards. Brown never had lower than 14.2 yards per reception, which came in his freshman year. Whether it’s on or off the field, there are no red flags for A.J. Brown. He’s had fairly typical bumps, bruises Thurman Thomas Jerseys Stitched , and minor injuries but is known for his durability. There are no scandals or controversies to speak of. On a fun note, he was drafted as an outfielder for the San Diego Padres and spent the last few years with them for extended spring practices. Aside from looking like a cat, A.J. Brown’s spider chart paints a portrait of an atypical receiver based on physical traits. He’s a little shorter than average. The 6’1” he’s often listed as is likely a touch generous. However, he has a longer-than-average wingspan. And he’s quite heavy for the position at 226 lbs. The extra weight is likely a good deal of muscle as he excelled in the bench press. For the speed and agility drills, Brown doesn’t stand out in a positive or negative way. A.J. Brown’s praises are sung mostly in the slot. Polished route running and good body control allow him to get open. The book on Brown indicates strong hands that pluck the ball out of the air away from body. A lack of fear getting the ball over the middle pairs with a physical style of play to get yards after catch (and contact). That stop is pretty wildDescribed more as “quick” than “fast” it’s often cited that A.J. Brown doesn’t possess the deep speed to play on the outside at the NFL level. Despite a physical style of play, concerns surrounding Brown’s ability to beat press coverage are prominent. has Brown rated as 6.08 or “should become instant starter” in their profile by Lance Zierlein. Zierlein compares Brown to JuJu Smith-Schuster and physically the two seem to have a lot in common. The best Buffalo Bills comparison (courtesy of Dan Lavoie) is Anquan Boldin Cody Ford Buffalo Bills Jersey , whose most notable Bills accomplishment was spending less time with the team than Dean Cain. A look at a little shiftinessA team that drafts Brown will likely be one looking for a weapon in the short and intermediate game. Teams looking to help a young quarterback out with a safety valve could be a factor. As would a team built on the short passing game to wear down opponents. So pretty much the entire AFC East would be a good landing spot for Brown. In Buffalo there would be some competition for slot duties, particularly with the addition of Cole Beasley. A stable of shift and precise route runners isn’t exactly unprecedented however.
