There are two kinds of ejectors used in vacuum blowdown system: atmospheric ejector and water ejector (jet pump).

Mobile vacuum toilet usually uses the high-pressure air supply provided by vehicles to produce vacuum through atmospheric ejector, which can reach -0.04mpa ~ -0.05mpa. It has the advantages of simple structure, no moving parts, low price and high reliability; the disadvantage is that the working efficiency is not high. It should be noted that in order to avoid affecting the normal braking of the vehicle when using the atmospheric injector, it is necessary to strictly calculate the air consumption of the atmospheric injector, and increase the air storage tank if necessary. However, it is relatively convenient when the air source of trains and ships is abundant.

The water ejector is mostly located in the vacuum tank or outdoor water collection unit, which takes the gas-liquid mixture collected in the vacuum pipeline as the injection fluid, and the working fluid is the circulating sewage driven by the water pump. This method has been widely used in early design, but it is rarely used at present. At the same time, the water ejector design can also be used in the vacuum toilet system of mobile vehicles.
